Our Story
In 1966, the two brothers, Hans Henning and Tonny Haahr, set out to rethink the kitchen universe of their time.
It all began in a henhouse.
On the outskirts of the town of Ølgod stood a large henhouse, which housed the first facilities for the carpentry workshop that would later grow into the Nordic region’s largest kitchen factory, HTH.
Hans Henning was the tactical one of the two brothers - the one who hired the right people for production and handled the daily operations. Tonny was the strategist, outgoing and always on the move.

At HTH, you can feel the presence of history. Being part of something that has stood the test of time across generations creates a unique sense of pride.

Shaping a Nordic Industry Success Story
On 16 December 1966, the brothers held a reception for family and friends in the workshop located in the old henhouse. What no one knew that day – not even the brothers themselves – was that they were standing at the very beginning of a West Jutland industrial adventure. An adventure that, only a few years later, would grow to become not just Denmark’s largest but the Nordic region’s largest kitchen manufacturer. And the company we know today as HTH.
Today, the factory in Ølgod still buzzes with life and development. Together with the headquarters in Aarhus, around 650 employees help shape the kitchens of the future.
