Meet Gustav
Gustav is only 27, but his time at HTH shows what can happen when you’re given opportunities to unfold your potential.
From the football pitch to the kitchen industry
Gustav has played football at an elite level his entire life, and it has shaped his approach to both people and performance. Team spirit, discipline, and the drive to create something together have become his foundation - both personally and professionally.
After completing HHX, he faced the classic choice: university or something entirely different. He chose the latter. HTH’s trainee programme caught his attention because it combined two things that truly motivate him: creativity through design and a focused, competitive approach to sales. It became the starting point of a career that quickly gained momentum.
From trainee to leader in just a few years
He started as a trainee in 2018 with no experience in the industry, but with big ambitions and a strong desire to learn and grow. After only a few months, it became clear that he had a natural talent for the work. When he quickly placed himself among the top 20 BTC salespeople, it became clear proof that his strengths lay in building relationships, creating trust, and understanding customer needs.
Since then, he has been given the chance to take on greater responsibility. First as an interior design consultant in Copenhagen, and later as branch manager in Germany, where he led two international stores. A responsibility that normally requires many years of experience — but one HTH chose to give him because they could see his potential. Here, he learned to make tough decisions, run a business across cultures, and develop his leadership in practice.
Today, he leads the professional sales division in HTH Denmark’s own stores. His daily work revolves around creating direction, supporting colleagues, and driving development. What motivates him most is succeeding together and seeing strategic initiatives turn into real results out in the stores.
Pride in a culture that lifts people up
Gustav is a living example of HTH’s culture of talent development. He has experienced for himself what it means to be given responsibility early on, to be challenged, and to be seen. And today, he helps pass on those same opportunities to others in his current role.
When Gustav tells people where he works, there is one thing he highlights above all: the culture. A culture that believes in talent, gives responsibility early, and creates room for individuality. A culture where young profiles are allowed to grow and where ambition is taken seriously. It is precisely this culture that Gustav himself is a product of.

What matters most to me is the culture we have at HTH. I’ve experienced firsthand what it means to be given responsibility early on, to be challenged, and to be seen as a talent. It has shaped my development.
